St. Joan Antida High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin spent one or two classes each week on this Christian youth leadership training. The class is a combination of sophomores, juniors, and seniors who combine classroom learning with community service and liturgical ministries.
Campus ministry classes were a lively combination of discussions, simulations, and activities that involved things like comic strips, hula hoops and tinker toys!
In addition to the classroom content, the students prepared for monthly school prayer services and liturgies, serving in several liturgical ministries, including hospitality, Word, and music. They participated in “Pebbles of Peace Outweighing Boulders of Violence” and created a resource called, “Leaders of Justice,” which highlights the contributions of 15 leaders from the United States and other countries and their efforts to affirm the dignity of peoples of all races.
