Mission Statements

The Teen Leaders of the House of Peace have been spending time thinking about their core values and their personal mission. On September 19-20, we had our kick off retreat at the House of Peace. Each Teen Leader was asked to write up a personal mission statement… here are their words and pictures:

I am here on this earth to promote love and kindness. God has created me to be a free-spirited, open-minded, loving and compassionate person.  I vow to help those in need and to think of others before myself.

I will be a leader to others by displaying my people skills to promote honesty, leadership, and wisdom to everyone I encounter.

Because I seek confidence, leadership, intelligence, love, diversity, math, science, and beauty, I will dedicate my life to helping others mentally and physically in order to become the word’s most beautiful, dedicated, loving, cherishing, bilingual OB-GYN.

In gratitude to God, who created me with intelligence, open-mindedness, and compassion, I will bring truth, love and joy to the world by eliminating world poverty, eradicating violence and being a man for others.

My purpose for existing is to be non-judgmental and helpful to others, so that my talents of acceptance and kindness can be used in service to bring about peace and love in the world.

I will be a leader to others with my people skills, to promote kindness, service and friendship among all people I meet.

I am determined to educate through my laughter, love, smiles and hugs.

I will bring out love, learning and  inspiration through teamwork and peacemaking with my gifts of friendship, music, and helping others.

In order to advance the position of humanity in the universe, and to bring hope to the world, I will dedicate my life to space technology, using my talents of math, science and leadership.

I can use my talents, which are completing school work, my ability to follow directions and my ability to make fun out of the most difficult situations. I plan to make programs similar to the House of Peace so that I can help my community by building centers where students have the best opportunities to complete school and become successful in life. This will make the youth of our communities more involved with what is going on, not only in the community, but in the world around them.

I will bring about the value of enjoyment of life. I will create laughter and bring smiles to others because I am told I am very funny and that my smile brings a smile to other people’s faces. A little thing like a smile can make a big difference, and I want to make a difference in people’s lives.

Because I seek unity and justice, I will dedicate my life to writing articles and enlisting my ability to write persuasive essays. I’d like to write about how to achieve the goals of unity and justice by using examples I have experienced personally or those I’ve heard from other who have been successful.

I was given a lively and energetic spirit by the Lord.  In gratitude to God for that gift, I will bring a bright smile to everyone I come by and share my joy and excitement with them.

Because the world is in need of love, I pledge to use my kindness, love, compassion and peace in order to be a good leader and role-model for others.

download 2-16-07 020.jpg

I will bring about kindness, love, friendship, fun and family by keeping an eye out for those who are missing these things. I will make a positive change with my gifts of being nice, caring and funny.
