May 2009 Graduate Luncheon

On May 9, the Teen Leaders held their spring luncheon, to honor the graduating seniors and celebrate the accomplishments of all the Teen Leaders.

This year’s booklet featured the books the Teen Leaders would write, if they were to write books. You can see features from their books when you click here.

This year’s David Chang Scholarship was awarded to Reggie.

The juniors gave some college supplies to the seniors – a laundry basket full of towels, laundry detergent, and other college necessities and munchable goodies.

Flowers were given to Miss Shirley, our second mother, and to all other adults who work with the leadership team for the House of Peace Teen Leaders.

Special thanks to Ralph Stewart and Dominique McGee who assist at all the Teen Leader meetings and events, to Perry Williams, who attends our retreats and sets up and maintains our immaculate meeting space, and to Gerri Sheets-Howard who keeps our balance sheet for the stipends and scholarships. Thanks also to Brother Mark, the executive director of House of Peace, who makes the Teen Leader program possible.
