The Legacy Fund for Tomorrow's Present

Lisa was diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma and aggressive cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer - in the liver) this summer. Chemotherapy was unsuccessful, and she was left with a life expectancy of 6 months.

Today, the work of Tomorrow's Present is more important than ever. Milwaukee often places in the 10-15 urban school districts with the lowest graduation rates, as well as the top ten highest crime cities. Yet in 2008-2009, Tomorrow's Present brought peacemaking skills and leadership training to 2,557 youth and adults. Our methods are based on Lisa's three-year research study identifying factors that encourage young people to want to be leaders.

Hope is really something we do. And that hope CANNOT die with Lisa's passing. There will always be young people whose lives can be positively changed forever by Tomorrow's Present. Thus, The Leadership Center of Cardinal Stritch University has begun The Legacy Fund for Tomorrow's Present: A Lasting Tribute to the work of Dr. Lisa-Marie Calderone-Stewart.
