Our Mission and Core Values

The mission of Tomorrow's Present is to empower youth and adults to transform their communities through learning, reflection, leadership and service. We accomplish this by:
  1. Forming leaders with integrity and purpose
  2. Building a sense of hope and responsibility among young people
  3. Increasing access to skills, knowledge, social connections and resources
  4. Reducing violence and promote tolerance and peaceful conflict resolution

Our core purpose encapsulates our desire to make a positive difference in the world by teaching, promoting and living the cycle of Transformation - Learning, Reflection, Leadership and Service in an environment of support.
Tomorrow's Present embraces the Franciscan values that guide the Cardinal Stritch University Leadership Center and House of Peace. These values promote a caring community, showing compassion, reverencing creation and making peace. These core values are lived out through our commitment to the ideals of humble service, human dignity, integrity, non-violence, empowerment, and creativity.

About Our Name

Tomorrow's Present means tomorrow's gift, or a present from tomorrow. In other words, young people are a gift for us to embrace and celebrate. If we recognize youth as gifted leaders today, they will most certainly continue to bless us with their gifts and presence tomorrow.

Tomorrow's Present also means tomorrow is here; the future is present already, like a promising sunrise. In other words, the future of our neighborhood, our congregation, our country, and our planet is present in the faces of our youth; if we can touch young people today, then we can touch that future.
